Start Planning for 2008

Arden Manor Recreation and Park District’s Summer Day Camp program is a valuable summer experience for children entering the 1st-6th grades. Participants will take part in both traditional and non-traditional sports, fun games, creative projects, swimming and much more. Trained staff will supervise participants while emphasizing the importance of teamwork, good sportsmanship, and cooperation throughout all the activities.

When: June 9-August 8, 2008
Hours: 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. for extended hours)
Where: Deterding Park, 1415 Rushden Drive

*Behavior Policy
It is our goal to make this summer an exciting and worthwhile experience for your child. This requires our campers to follow basic rules, such as respect for staff and other participants, teamwork, maintaining a positive attitude, and common courtesy. Disrespectful behavior, inappropriate language, and inappropriate physical contact directed towards staff members, participants, or the general public will not be tolerated and will be handled according to the policies of Arden Manor Recreation and Park District. Behavior that does not follow the guidelines and rules set forth by Summer Day Camp staff may result in the following:

• Verbal warning to child followed by written warning if behavior continues.
• Multiple written warnings may result in suspension from the Summer Day Camp program.
• A phone call notifying parent/guardian of child’s behavior will be made in the case of a written warning.
• Suspension of child from program for the remainder for the program day, this requires immediate pick-up of child by parent/guardian. Refund will not be given for time missed due to behavior related absence.
• Suspension for the remainder of program week or suspension for the duration of the Summer Day Camp program. Refund will not be given for time missed due to behavior related absence.

Please discuss these expectations with you child. We appreciate your role in making this summer a positive experience for your child.

Our 2007 Summer Camp Session has Ended

Fun games, great crafts, swimming, sports, and so much more all went into another great summer at AMPRD summer day camp. The days were busy for our hardworking staff, but working with the amazing kids of our community made it all worthwile.  We look forward to seeing you around this year and especially returning with your children next summer for another great summer!
